This jewel box I designed this summer ranked second at the eleventh snapmaking contest. A pleasant and welcome surprise !
It’s composed of 3 parts of oak wood : the top part was inspired by a diamond gem (10 faces polygon with multiple cuts) and water and air elements. The box itself helps organizing jewels with different shapes and sizes (all inner boxes are cuved to ease picking your favorite item). The feet are simple and glued to the body part (also done with CNC).
All done in about 30 hours with 3.175mm flat end bit.
