Candlestick woodwork

This is one of my most complex work to date. I’m very pleased with the results of this multi-tools candlestick.

Here’s a view of the pieces on the snapmaker :

The “pillar” part has been carved with the 4 axis rotary module. It’s made of 3 ascending spirals wrapped around a central column (I have also tried without the column but the carving time was too long and complex. maybe for the next project ?).

The base part is 3 axis (“Flat”) CNC and includes some height gradients (like a very flat cone) and 3 spiral shapes which are meant to align, or “morph” into the 3 coils of the pillar.

There are some nice cuts in all 3 parts to make glueing stronger. This aspect was new to me and I’ve learned a lot on Fusion360 cutting/combining of body components… I’m getting more and more confortable with this practice, and I’ve come to appreciate this mastering of a small fraction of Fusion 360’s power.

Here’s a closeup of the pillar/spiral part :

This was a really nice experiment overall !
